Celebration Banquet
The Hillgrove Hotel Monaghan was the place to be on Saturday night. It was great to see over 300 Galbally Gaels in attendance to celebrate the club’s success in 2019. The place was decked in blue and white and everyone was in great spirits. Our MC Noel McGinn entertained everyone throughout the night. Michael Kerr provided a great speech to the audience and applauded Galbally’s success and the brilliant facilities we have and how proud we should be. Our guest speaker Malachy O’Rourke reminded us all to savour the memories of our success as they don’t come around too easy. He highlighted to our senior panel to stay positive and great things can continue to happen, you just have to believe in yourself. We would like to thank Noel, Michael and Malachy for attending our Celebrations Banquet. Nearly 50 footballers and 6 management teams graced the stage to receive their medals, everyone in the squad received a gracious applause from the audience. We are extremely proud of everyone in the Senior and Reserve 2019 teams. With this being said we encourage everyone to come out and support the lads in a few weeks time as the 2020 league campaign kicks off.
Club Membership
Club Membership is now due, this can be paid this Friday night in the club shop between 7:30pm and 8:30pm.
2020 Membership prices are as follows:
Single Adult £50 Husband & Wife £80 Student £20
OAP £20 Youth £10
Club Na Phiarsaigh £240 (This includes husband, wife and children under the age of 18)
Unless you are a registered member of Galbally Pearses for 2020 you will not be insured whilst participating in any activities.
You will also not be able to apply for Tyrone tickets, take part in the Scor or apply for Gaeltacht Grants.
Minor Boys

U14 Boys
Well done to the boys in their match against Dungannon recording a comprehensive victory.

U14 Girls
Hard luck to the girls in their match against St. Macartans losing by the minimum on a scoreline of Galbally Pearses 6-5 St. Macartans 7-3
Camps Casca
After our very successful Easter Camp last year, it will be running again this year. Our camp will run on the 15th/16th/17th of April. There will be two registration nights taking place on 5th and 12th March to sign the children up for the camp. There will be the opportunity to try on the jersey for sizing. There is a limit of 80 places for the camp, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Prices to attend the camp are as follows:
One Child – £30, Two Children – £50, Three Children – £70
Big Breakfast
St Patrick’s Day Mass and Big Breakfast will take place next Tuesday 17th March. Like every year this is always a great community event and we would like you all to attend.
Club Lotto
Our Club Lotto is a valuable income for the weekly running of our club. If you are able to purchase a ticket or 2 each week this will help towards the weekly costs in our club. Our lotto numbers this week were 1 – 15 – 16 – 11. There was no jackpot winner. Our 5 Lucky dip winners were: Denis Donaghy, Mickey Donnelly, Annie Traynor, Brendan Hurson and Mary McCrory. Our next jackpot draw will take place on Wednesday 18th March & will be £5,800.
Club Shop
Our club shop will be opened this week on Friday from 7.30pm to 8pm for Club Gear & Membership.
Thoughts & Prayers
Everyone at Galbally Pearses would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the families of Aimee Allen, Sally Gormley, Pearse Kelly and Sister Theresita (Annie) McGlinchey, Daughters of the Cross. May God grant them eternal rest. May they Rest In Peace.
