We had nearly 30 volunteers attend our Foundation Level Training on Saturday 11th February. For anyone who missed out on the opportunity to complete the child protection course last week below is a list of workshops available in the upcoming weeks. All Child Protection Workshops will commence at 7pm.

We would encourage as many of our members to undertake the Foundation Level Training as it is vitally important to develop our club. Dates available are as follows:

All coach education courses will commence at 9:30am on the Saturday. Coaches who attend the foundation coaching award course must also complete the child protection workshop, failure to do so will result in them not being certified as a Foundation Award Coach.

Alternatively, Tyrone Ladies are running a FUNdamentals / Foundation Course that will take place on Saturday 25th February in St Enda’s GFC Omagh. Course will start at 10am sharp and finish by 4pm. Lunch will be provided. The cost of this is £15 per person. All managers, mentors and coaches must have this course to be able to coach any of their girl’s teams and they must be over 16 years of age. Any club which has anyone interested please contact secretary.Tyrone@lgfa.ie by Friday 17th February before 5pm.
We would encourage all our members who are actively involved in our club to complete the Access NI Vetting Form (document is available in downloads section of the website).
Senior Men
Hard luck to our young team of senior men on loosing out to Coleraine on Sunday 12th February on a scoreline Coleraine 3-15 Galbally 2-08. Our Senior Men play Dungiven on Sunday 19th February in the 4th round of the Ulster League at 12noon in Pearse Park Galbally.
Minor Boys
Training continues on Thursday night at 7.15pm sharp. It is important that everyone is out at training in preparation for the League and upcoming Ryan Tierney Cup.
Minor Girls
Training continues on Thursday night from 6.45pm to 8pm. Everyone welcome. It is important that everyone makes the effort to attend training as the league begins on Saturday 25th February. If you haven’t been out at training yet don’t worry get your boots out and come along.
U14 Girls
Training continues this Wednesday night from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and Saturday at 11am. We welcome all girls from Primary 7 upwards including anyone born in 2003. Please spread the word to anyone not on Facebook. All new faces welcome and anyone who may not have played in a while.
Club Lotto
No Jackpot Winner. This week’s numbers (Tuesday 14th February) were: 15, 12, 2 & 16. Our 5 lucky dip winners winning £20 each were: Damien Rafferty, Katie Begley, Tommy J McGee, Sean Quinn (Crannogue) & Seamus Corrigan. Next week’s jackpot returns to £2300. Next Draw takes place on Tuesday 21st February at 9pm. If you need a lotto seller to call to your home, contact any committee member or alternatively tickets can be purchased in Tally’s Mace or Donnelly’s Post Office. Lotto is an essential source of income for the club & your continued support is greatly appreciated.
Club Shop
Our Club Shop will be opened this Friday night from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Membership for 2017 can be paid during this time.
Club Membership
We welcome back our existing members this year and would also encourage new members to come and be part of our club. Only paid up members for 2017 are eligible and insured to use club facilities and train/play for Galbally Pearses. It is important that anyone who intends to play football for our club is registered – if you are not registered you will not be able to play, apply for Gaeltacht Grant or participate in the Scor. Thank you for your continued support & we welcome you to be a part of our GAA community & club. We will be holding a registration evening in February – more details to follow.
