Dates for your Diaries:

Saturday 30th July – Cathy McVeigh U12 Girls Tournament
We will be holding the first annual Cathy McVeigh U12 Girls tournament in Pearse Park on Saturday 30th July where we will have 8 clubs attending.  Cathy was a constant and infectious presence in Pairc An Phiarsaigh from an early age, a home from home where she sought enjoyment, participation and interaction.  Cathy didn’t believe in someone slipping past without an exchange of words.  No one was a stranger to her, just someone that she had not yet got to know.  The Tournament should prove to be an enjoyable and competitive event for all participants so we would encourage as many people to come out and support our girls and offer a helping hand.  Piarsaigh An Ghallbhaile and the McVeigh family will take great pride in awarding the Cathy McVeigh memorial cup to the winning team on the day.

Sunday 7th August:- Path of the Pearses Cycle Sportive
Following the major success of our Path of the Pearses club cycle last year, we are hosting a cycle sportive on Sunday 7th August with 30 & 60 miles routes.  This event will be fully supported with stewards, sweeper vans & food stops with refreshments on return.  Cyclists of all abilities welcome (over 16 only).  Sign on is at 7.30am with the first cyclists away at 8am!  £10 Entry per person.
