Last Saturday Pearse Park was the venue for Ulster U12 girls Development blitz.  It was a huge success with over 300 girls in attendance.
Many thanks to all those who helped out on Saturday with teas and sandwiches and worked in the club shop.  Our own U12 girls had a great day and played fantastic in all their games. Well done to everyone involved.

The season has came to an end for the Under 14 girls. On Tuesday they played Glenelly in the championship.  Glenelly started strong in the first half with a number of goals, but our girls never let their heads drop they continued to played with good fighting spirit and the second half was a much tighter affair, they were unfortunate in the end as Glenelly went on to win the game.  We would like to thank all the girls and management for their commitment throughout the season.  We hope to see you all involved next season again.

St Paul’s Academy Tour
This week Galbally will be hosting the Under 14’s from St Paul’s Academy in partnership with Dulwich Harps as their begin their Gaelic Football tour of Ireland.  We really appreciate the families who offered to host the children and keep them for their duration of their stay in Galbally.  They will arrive at Galbally Community Centre on Thursday 21st May around 8pm. They have a action packed week, this is only some of their plans they will be doing: Friday they will play a game against St Patricks Academy Dungannon and heading out for dinner that night, Saturday 23rd they will attend a U14 Blitz at Kileavy Gaa (Armagh) along with our own U14’s boys.  On Saturday night there will be a Disco at the Galbally Community centre that night, P7, 1st, 2nd, 3rd years boys and girls can attend the disco, 9:30 to midnight admission is free and light refreshments will be served.  On Sunday they will be attending the Ulster Championship game between Cavan and Monaghan.  We want to make them all feel welcome in Galbally and make their experience one to remember, we are lucky to have own of our own Galbally exiles Micheal Donnelly as their head coach and main organiser of their trip.  We hope they all enjoy their stay with all the families.

Thanks
We would like to thank Ciaran Murphy from Murphy Gaelic Gloves for supplying nearly 50 children in our Under 6’s with new gloves and also donating training gear and 10 new footballs.  All the children were delighted.  Many thanks Ciaran for your generous donation.
