Senior Football
The Seniors lost out when they travelled to Trillick on Saturday past. A trio of goals from the home side left it hard to get back, despite some of our young players stepping up the the challenge. The reserves also lost out by 5 points, on a final score of 2-17 to 2-12 to Trillick. Next up is a local derby against Killeeshil, which is away on Saturday 6th September at 4.30pm and 6.00pm.
Youth Football
The U16 boys turned things around in their home fixture against Coalisland, winning 3-10 to 3-5. They were unlucky to lose out by 2 points against Pomeroy on Monday 25th, on a score line of 2-8 to 1-9 to Pomeroy. This Saturday 30th August at 12pm, they travel to Dunmoyle to play Errigal Ciaran.
The U16 girls suffered their first defeat of the season when they travelled to Cappagh tonight (Tues). Their game against Fr Rock’s has now been moved to Monday 1st Sept owing to Cookstown seniors involvement in the Championship on Thurs.
U6, U8 and U10 boys training continues on Wednesday from 7pm-8pm.
U10 and U12 girls training continuesthis Wednesday at 7.00pm-8.00pm. The U12 girls have been invited to a challenge blitz in Coalisland this Wednesday 27th August.
Defibrillator and CPR Training
The club are organising a Defibrillator & CPR training course on Wednesday 24th September.. The course is being carried out by the Cormac trust and will start at 7.30pm in the Community Centre. We encourage senior & youth team managers (Boys & Girls) and regular match goers to attend this valuable training opportunity.. Galbally Pearses 10K Run and 5K Walk + Run
The club, in association with Athletics NI and St Joseph’s P.S. Galbally, are running a 10K Run and a 5K Walk + Run on Sunday 7th September as part of the fun day. The race will start at 12pm, with prizes and t-shirts for 10K runners, and refreshments for all participants. Prices are as follows: 10K Runners £15 (£13 for affiliated Athletic NI members); 5K Walkers/Runners £10; Children FREE. You can register on the day, or on www.athleticsni.org.
The Pearses Golden Ball Drop
Tickets are now on sale for our upcoming fundraiser, the Golden Ball Drop. On Sunday 7th September at 2.30pm, 11 balls will be dropped from a helicopter (10 worth £50 and one GOLDEN ball worth £1000) onto Pearse Park, which will be lined out in a grid and squares allocated numbers at random. If a ball lands in your square you could be in with a chance of winning one of our prizes. Tickets cost £5 and are available from committee members and players.
Well Done!
The club wishes to congratulate our committee member and club referee Sean Hurson, who took charge of the All-Ireland Minor Semi-Final last weekend in Croke Park, in which Kerry defeated Mayo by 4 points. Great to see Sean getting the big games he rightly deserves.
Club Lotto
This week’s numbers: 8, 15, 2, 5. Lucky Dip Winners: Tom Quinn (Cross) x 2, Ciara Kelly, Brian Wallace (£25 each). Jackpot now stands at £3800.
 
Club Shop
The club shop is open every Friday from 7-8pm and during senior home games.
