Our minors played Ardboe yesterday evening in the semi final of the grade 1 championship in Edendork.
1st Half…Ardboe opened the scoring in the 1st Minute with a point by Odhran Devlin, Patrick Quinn equalised for Galbally with a point from play on 2 minutes, Enda Mc Garrity scored Galbally’s second point from play on 4 minutes, Ronan Nugent scored a long range point from Play on 6 minutes (Galbally 0.03 Ardboe 0.01) DD Mulgrew scored a point from play for Ardboe on 9 minutes, Michael O Neill scored a long range point from play for Ardboe on 16 minutes, DD Mulgrew put Ardboe ahead with a point on 20 minutes, (Ardboe 0.04 Galbally 0.03) EndaMcGarrity scored a fine point to level the game on the 25th Minute, DD Mulgrew scored from a 45 on 27 minutes to put Ardboe 1 point in front, Ronan Nugent scored a fantastic point from play on the 28 minute to level the scores again on 0.05 each. Aidan O Neill of Ardboe kicked a point from play on 30 minutes to leave Ardboe going in to the break 1 point up in a tense and tight affair on a scoreline of Ardboe 0.06 Galbally 0.05.
2nd Half… Ardboe opened the scoring of the second half by Odhran Devlin point from play on 31 minute, Michael O Neill from Ardboe scored a great individual point on 39 minutes to put Ardboe up by 3 points, DD Mulgrew put 4 between the teams with a point on the 40 minutes. (Ardboe 0.09 Galbally 0.05), Liam Rafferty scored a lovely point on 41 minutes for Galbally to bring the deficit to 3 points between the sides, Caolan Monaghan from Ardboe scored a point from play on the 46th minute, Liam Rafferty scored yet another nice point again for Galbally on 48 minutes, Enda Mc Garrity of Galbally crashes the ball of the crossbar what would have been a fantastic goal with Daniel Kerr of Galbally picking up the rebound to kick the ball over the bar on 50 minutes, Michael O Neill slots over a late free for Ardboe on 60 minutes, Enda Mc Garrity punched the ball over the bar on 62 minutes, (Ardboe 0.11 Galbally 0.09) Michael O Neill kicks the final point of the game with a free on 64 minutes resulting in Ardboe booking their place in the county minor final for the third year in a row..
