We welcome back our existing members this year and would also encourage new members to come and be part of our club.  Only paid up members for 2016 are eligible and insured to use club facilities and train/play for Galbally Pearses.  We are holding a Membership Registration evening in our Club Shop on Friday 5th February from 7.30pm to 8.30pm – it is important that anyone who intends to play football for our club is registered – if you are not registered you will not be able to play, apply for Gaeltacht Grant or participate in the Scor!  Thank you for your continued support & we welcome you to be a part of our GAA community & club.

2016 Membership: Adults:- £30// Husband & Wife :- £50 // Student/Over 65 years: £10 // Youth (Under 18):- £5 – Please note that if you are a Club na Piarsaigh member this covers membership for husband & wife, but not children!

Senior Ladies

Seniors Ladies will start training on 18th February.

Minor Boys

Training continues every Tuesday & Thursday night @ 7pm. On Sunday the 14th February our minors will be attending the Ryan Tierney Tournament hosted by the Clogher Club.  Our club will be pushing for 3 in a row in this tournament so a big effort is required from all players to attend – Please take note in relation to membership!

Minor Ladies

Training for our Minor ladies is on Monday nights at 7.15pm & Thursday at 8.15pm on 4G pitch. Contact Tony McVeigh for more information. Please take note date below in relation to membership.

Under 14 (Boys) 

Training continues as normal and it is important that everyone is out.  Please take note in relation to membership!

Under 14 (Girls)

Training begins Thursday 4th February from 7pm to 8pm.  This is for all girls from Primary seven up.  Please take note in relation to membership!

Pearse Og’s

Our Pearse Og programme will begin on Thursday 12th February from 7pm – 8pm for our Primary 1 – Primary 3 children.  Keep an eye on our notes for more information.  Forms will be handed out in Primary School during the week.  These are to be completed and returned on the first night!

Youth Team Managers

We thank everyone who volunteered throughout 2015 to help any of our many youth teams – without the help of our coaches and parents it would not be possible.  Plans are now being put in place to appoint various coaches and managers for next season.  Anyone who is interested either managing a team or helping out in any way for football, boys & girls, please contact Kevin Kelly (Youth Officer).

Scor

Congratulations to Donaghmore St Patrick’s Gaa Ballad Group on wining an All-Ireland Scór na nÓg title on Saturday evening in Killarney!

Club Lotto

This week’s numbers (Tuesday 2nd February) were: 7 – 4 – 16 – 1. Our 4 lucky dip winners were; Austin Creenan, Mary Nugent (Glenbeg), Brenda Mullan & Plunkett Nugent (Glenbeg) winning £25 each. Jackpot now stands at £3000.

If you need a lotto seller to call to your home, contact any committee member or tickets can be purchased in Tally’s Mace or Donnelly’s Post Office.

Lotto is an essential source of income for the club & your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Club Shop

The club shop will be open this Friday 5th February for membership.  Stock is limited until delivery mid / late February.

Sympathy Notices

The club would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the families of Dermot McElduff, Detta McElroy, Gerry Nugent, Kevin Ruddy & Paula McKenna.  May they Rest in Peace.  Our thoughts and prayers are with any families in the area who are dealing with illness in their family at this time.
